You sound like the anti-guana, I am old, bald and (proudly) northern, but not poor, why am I not poor? because I'm working fuckin class, I'm proud to spunk my life away making money for the same capitalist bastards who came up with the class system and pigeon-holed me purely for their convenience.
Though come to think of it, isn't practically everyone on this site working class? with the obvious exceptions of Chisox (upper-middle) and Kimo (lower-lower-lower)?
and if we are all working class aren't we entitled to listen to working-class music without paying for it and forcing working class bands to accrue wealth that's going to shove them into the middle-class bracket (like 99% of the entertainment/media industry) making them into farcical representations of what they once were?
So I say, to protect their roots and their integrity, we should rob the fuckers blind, steal their music, swipe their merch at gigs and if they leave their van unlocked, grab a couple of guitars and leg it, keep them poor, keep them working and keep them proud.

Re: do not post anything from crowd control media

My two cents:

The Authority! are/were a decent band back when. Although if I understand right, the old guitarist is now singing, so I imagine the new albums vocals will be different than this example from their 2000 release.

The label doesn't want their stuff shared, so be it. I think that can be counteractive in the long run, but not my decision to make. But, if Crowd Control Media wants to see another way music is shared while promoting their interests, they should check out PunkBandPromotions.com .

Otherwise, I would say move along folks, nothing to see here.

Yes. We are a new label. We have lots going on in the couple months we have been active. We pour money into our label that we work hard for in our regular jobs.

If you've never heard of the Authority! perhaps you shouldn't be an admin on any site with the word "Oi!" in it, or Crucial Change for that matter. Whom have 3 full lengths and an upcoming E.P under their belt.  The rest are newer and upcoming bands. Good bands, should check 'em out.

Music Torrent sites if being used for marketing purposes by bands are great... when it's done without initial consent of the band or label, IT IS stealing.

I work hard for every penny I have ever had. This label is about to announce it's 7th release in just under 3 months. Every last one of those dollars was worked for, yeah so.. Working Class.

Ick, Bill sang on those releases in 2000. The original singer, Ken was on the GMM Release "Who Knows?" released in 1997. That was the only release he was on. Bill has been on everything else.

you do know the vast majority of us hadnt heard of your label or bands so in actual fact this very site is a marketing tool with or without yours or the bands consent
however
your attitude about the issue generally puts people off wanting to actually part with cash on the releases after we find out about em, due to you coming across as an asshole

Tbh- its said so much in conjunction with "the streets", that both have lost their meaning. Every fucking release has to mention "working class" and in the band bio its always .."this hard working trio from the streets of....", and now its those two with "produced by Lars"...lol.

-edit- just for a laugh.

LMAO at hard working music exec's, yeah right, I guess coke doesn't snort itself off strippers tits does it?
Speaking as someone who has worked fucking hard for over 30 years, I'm a bit insulted that you think your Hobby/Job compares to real work in the slightest, if all this pisses you off so much then quit and get a job digging ditches, the sort of job that you do once and get paid for once, not the type of job where you do a bit of work with a bunch of mates listening to music you love, and then get paid over and over again for it for-fucking-ever!
But you won't, because you enjoy what you do, you're just irked because the money isn't coming in fast and hard enough for your liking, the fact is, that in this whole thread only two people have heard of your showcase band, one of them hasn't downloaded anything by them and the other one went out and bought both their cd's, which flies in the face of you calling us all thieving cunts. No-one on this site has stolen anything from you, but everyone on this site has been fucked over by your industry more than once.
Go to your warehouse/back bedroom or wherever you stockpile your merchandise, count the cd's, I'll download your back catalogue tonight, then count your shit again, there won't be anything missing, you'll still have your full stock and I won't have any of it, just inferior digital copies, I wouldn't have bought any of your stock anyway so it hasn't cost you any money there, what gives you the right to play the victim in a victimless crime? do you think that anyone who downloads your music for free would go out and buy it if they didn't? would they fuck, there's hundreds of thousands of cd's out there to choose from, but we would be more likely to buy it if we heard it and thought the music was worth it, or go to see the band that wrote it if they gig locally, maybe even buy a bit of merchandise if it's reasonably priced, because at the end of the day we are the consumers, we're the same fuckers who buy your music with our hard earned cash, don't dictate to us what we can and can't do with our property once we own it, if I want to rip a couple of copies for mates, I will, if I want to upload it on a site like this and share it with, in reality, about 20 people world-wide on average, I will, (not this one though, us thieving cunts have got enough integrity to honour your reasonable request) if I want to whistle your tunes in the shower while I'm soaping up my bollocks, i will, because I consider it mine, don't sell me something and then say you still own it.

Huh huh i nearly spat me beer out when i got to the simon cowell line, the people of what you would call dubious integrity here are the people i would call friends, or as close as you can get on the internet. These are the people i rest my elbow upon a metophorical bar and talk shit with, take an actual look around the site we occasionally talk about music in here "i know shocking isnt it" most of us have a wide and varied taste and over various incarnations of this site we have all turned each other on to numerous bands of which we otherwise would never of heard of.
Two members had heard of your band on here now if they had upped a torrent and it prooved popular then it could have been illegally downloaded by lets say as a nice round figure a 100 people, now out of this 100 people lets say 3 buy the album, 2 go to a show and 4 buy merch(money in your greasy pocket) now stretch it further out of those 100 people how many would be members of the various other punk sites we know of? They then take the upload and share it amongst those various sites where the cycle continues earning you extra pennys all the time...but you didnt do that, what you did was take your ball home and now we don't want play with you so there.

i wish youd remove that fuckin stupid compo piccie man, it makes me wanna giggle every time i see it tongue

after stopping giggling i thought id make a point

Crowd control seems to think its stealing, physically depriving him of his product
wrong
Crowd control seems to think if people cant download his music his cash will suddenly go up
wrong

take me, id never heard of the label, or bands, yes id download em, BUT these days they have to be a fuckin band i really love as my house is stuffed full of vinyl and cds, and my income aint much, so unless i really loved it i wouldnt be buying it, however thats not to say i havent bought stuff after illegally downloading, i have, ive also been to gigs and seen bands i dont own the music of on physical product
guess what, most of my music i buy these days comes from second hand anyway, cos i just cant afford brand new a lot, and guess what............you dont get fuckin paid again for that either tongue
but i guess youd be one up for banning second hand shops and charity shops, like some of the gaming companies want to do
