People pirating 'working class music' makes me LOL
Poeple pretending 'working class' makes me LOL
Music Torrent sites if being used for marketing purposes by bands are great... when it's done without initial consent of the band or label, IT IS stealing.
I work hard for every penny I have ever had. This label is about to announce it's 7th release in just under 3 months. Every last one of those dollars was worked for, yeah so.. Working Class.
LMAO at hard working music exec's, yeah right, I guess coke doesn't snort itself off strippers tits does it?
Speaking as someone who has worked fucking hard for over 30 years, I'm a bit insulted that you think your Hobby/Job compares to real work in the slightest, if all this pisses you off so much then quit and get a job digging ditches, the sort of job that you do once and get paid for once, not the type of job where you do a bit of work with a bunch of mates listening to music you love, and then get paid over and over again for it for-fucking-ever!
But you won't, because you enjoy what you do, you're just irked because the money isn't coming in fast and hard enough for your liking, the fact is, that in this whole thread only two people have heard of your showcase band, one of them hasn't downloaded anything by them and the other one went out and bought both their cd's, which flies in the face of you calling us all thieving cunts. No-one on this site has stolen anything from you, but everyone on this site has been fucked over by your industry more than once.
Go to your warehouse/back bedroom or wherever you stockpile your merchandise, count the cd's, I'll download your back catalogue tonight, then count your shit again, there won't be anything missing, you'll still have your full stock and I won't have any of it, just inferior digital copies, I wouldn't have bought any of your stock anyway so it hasn't cost you any money there, what gives you the right to play the victim in a victimless crime? do you think that anyone who downloads your music for free would go out and buy it if they didn't? would they fuck, there's hundreds of thousands of cd's out there to choose from, but we would be more likely to buy it if we heard it and thought the music was worth it, or go to see the band that wrote it if they gig locally, maybe even buy a bit of merchandise if it's reasonably priced, because at the end of the day we are the consumers, we're the same fuckers who buy your music with our hard earned cash, don't dictate to us what we can and can't do with our property once we own it, if I want to rip a couple of copies for mates, I will, if I want to upload it on a site like this and share it with, in reality, about 20 people world-wide on average, I will, (not this one though, us thieving cunts have got enough integrity to honour your reasonable request) if I want to whistle your tunes in the shower while I'm soaping up my bollocks, i will, because I consider it mine, don't sell me something and then say you still own it.
At the end of the day Mr Cowell, you're not pissed because we're costing you anything, you're pissed because we get something for nothing, and you work in an industry that makes vast fortunes out of nothing? cheeky boy.
and yeah. I know that technically there are plenty of laws that will back you up in this matter, nice laws that ensure that capitalistic interests are protected (and you could probably guess how much we love capitalists here ) but if thats the hat you want to wear you'll have to take your working class cloth cap of first, they clash.
So kudos to you anyway for the free advertising you've had on this site, ironically you've used us for "marketing purposes" without our "initial consent", that just makes you as bad as you're claiming we are.
and fucking dead right "kudos" to BJ for putting this site together, him and a bunch of others have worked fucking hard putting this place together, do you think it's because they have some psychotic desire to give away as much music as possible? the only reason the torrents are here is because they draw the community around them, I've been involved as a member and as an owner of sites like this enough times to understand the mentality behind them, and the community that are active on sites like this are the same community that your bands rely on for their livelihood, the ones that stand in sticky-floored venues drinking overpriced warm beer to support your bands and their livelihoods, the only difference is is that BJ doesn't use that community as a cash cow, sites like this quite often just make a loss, not all free advertising is good advertising, and you sir, are coming across as a bit of a dick.
jello biafra ..... jello biafra ......... JELLO BIAFRA
