Honestly, other than the controller and os i.dont see any appeal.
I can build a $500 pc thats miles ahead of those boxes and just plug it into my tv.
Admittedly, its probably the compact size thats.most.appealling to me.
Micro cases and parts are expensiiiiiiiiiive.
For non PC gamers, its worth it, Steams distribution has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY more games than xbox live and ps put together, and many for a very affordable price tag. They have a large bit of the same games Xbox/PS has, are obvioulsy angling for the games they dont, and in their corner, they have pretty much the entire PC digital distribution under their umbrella outside of EA games and Ubisoft.
Almost any game Ive played, its cheaper on launch day on Steam than buying a copy for Xbox/PS3 on launch day, sometimes by as much as 20+ dollars.
